What: 1st annual Hawaii Go Camp (for youths)
Where: Pagoda Hotel, Honolulu, Hawaii
Dates: Saturday July 25 - Saturday August 1, 2026
Wednesday July 29 will be a free day.
Times: 9:00am to 4:00pm
Cost: $750/child. Early bird and family discounts available. See Registration page.
Camp fee includes lunch for each child attending camp and camp t-shirt plus a special camp souvenir.
Audience: Youths ages 6-18.
1 adult must accompany the youth or siblings on the trip during non-camp hours.

Myungwan Kim 9P
Myungwan Kim is a 9 dan Korean professional Go player. He was born in 1978.
Kim became a professional Go player in 1994 reaching 7 dan in 2005, 8 dan in 2007, and finally 9 dan in 2009.
In 2008, Myungwan Kim moved to the United States as a representative of the Korean Baduk Association with the aim of teaching and promoting Go. While in the U.S., he has been involved in efforts to establish an American Professional Organization in collaboration with Tygem and the KBA.
He has achieved success in the U.S., winning the US Open in 2008, 2009, and 2010, each time with a perfect 6-0 score.
He has been a consistent presence at the US Go Congress, teaching and providing commentary, and has also taught at Go Camps and ran a Go school in California. He now lives in Honolulu, Hawaii.
