Meeting Places
January to December 2024 - Club continues to meet at its Salt Lake location on Saturday afternoons.
November to December 2024 - Club establishes a second meeting place at South Shore Market. First meeting was on October 17, 2024 and every Thursday thereafter.
Events:
January 13, 2024 - Participated in the Japanese Cultural Center of Hawaii New Year's Ohana Festival. Introduced event attendees to the game of Go and played 9x9 games with them. This is our 4th participation in this event.
March 30-31, 2024 - Kawaii Kon Convention. Introduced event attendees to the game of Go and played 9x9 games with them. This is our 3rd participation in this event.
August 3, 2024 - Korean Festival. Introduced event attendees to the game of Go and played 9x9 games with them. This is our 2nd participation in this event.
October 25, 2024 - University of Hawaii Japan Culture Day. Introduced event attendees to the game of Go and played 9x9 games with them. The club has participated in this annual event since 2012 and is our 11th participation in this event.
November 16, 2024 - Kim Chee Festival. Introduced event attendees to the game of Go and played 9x9 games with them. This is our first participation in this event.
Significant events:
Brian Johnson, Honolulu Go Club Co-founder wins the prestigious national award American Go Foundation Teacher of the Year. Brian wins an all expense paid trip to the US Go Congress held this year at Portland, Oregon to receive his award. Congratulations to Brian.
Governor Josh Green signs a proclamation on July 1, 2024 recognizing Brian Johnson's and the Honolulu Go Club's contributions to Go.

Go Education:
Myungwan Kim 9P teaches Go weekly to youths at Mun Lun Chinese School and at Hongwanji Mission School.
