Meeting Places

• Opened 2012 continuing to play at Nuuanu Soto Mission as the club meeting place.

• Starting June 2012 the club started playing at Nuuanu Soto Mission on Saturdays and at the University of Hawaii Paradise Palms on Sundays.  

• In July 2012 the club completely transitioned to playing at the University of Hawaii Paradise Palms.  The reason was because the club did not have enough members to pay the rent at Soto Mission.  Also we met on Sundays instead of Saturdays because UH parking is free on Sundays.

• Starting in August 2012 the club started playing at entrance of Hamilton Library at the University of Hawaii.  The reason we moved was partly because we were exposed to the weather and the birds.

Events

• August 2012 - Honolulu Go Club became a registered organization at the University of Hawaii.

• September 29, 2012 - Friendship match - Masaaki Hirano 7P of the Nihon Kiin Kansai branch at the Hawaii Kiin.

• November 1, 2012 - University of Hawaii Japan Culture Day - Introduced students to game of Go and played 9x9  games with them.  This is the club's first participation in this event.
